Outdoor benches are typically installed once and not moved for years. That's why one of the most important criteria when is their solidity and longevity. Benches made of too thin parts are likely to break up after some time of using. Steel benches that are not well treated will rust and untreated wooden benches will rot.
Standard garden benches provide bench space with no extra frills. It is just garden seating with simplistic design. And this design allows the garden bench to complement virtually any architectural style surrounding it.
There are many different styles of arranging the benches. You can follow your taste and not worry too much about going after specific advice or trends. Consider only that benches will be used from people who sit in the garden. Places that are sunny in the winter and shady in the summer are best but rarely possible so you may distribute part of your benches in shady, part in sunny and another part in semi-shady places. Outdoor benches stay good also next to paths, patios and the garden fence.
