What is powerlifting? Powerlifting is a sport that consists of three lifts, the squat, dead lift, and bench press performed at maximum weight. Simple right, lift as much weight as possible and garner the largest total you can. This sounds like a perfect blueprint for what we want to do with the bench press. Mimicking the training style of power lifters makes sense for two reasons, one obvious and one more scientific.
If you have smaller items to store, you can opt for hallway benches with the drawers, compartments and baskets. When you store shoes, it is kept organized and at the same time you can sit comfortably on the bench and tie the shoe laces. A low bench design with the baskets offers a rustic look to the entire interior. When the hallway space is very small, a triangular shape bench with the storage is the best option.
When the bench arrives or when you examine it at local store, check the surface for significant cracks. Cracks are a big no-no in the outdoor benches because they are exposed to water and possibly snow. Water makes cracks bigger in the concrete benches and the wooden benches quickly rot.
